I took it apart, cleaned everything, and put it back together and I really like it a lot. I'd by another one if I ran across one. It does worry me that there are no parts available that I know of. I made a really crude gasket for it that seems to work.
Rennerscorner.com has parts for the Marvel. (search for Alstate, not Marvel)

I really like these carbs. I have rebuilt several from scavenged parts and they run out great. More information on these could only be better.

I have seen it stated that they do, 3 pieces, the tube, needle, and choke driver, I believe it was Ron Rude that knows.

If I remember correctly not all of them will interchange. I would have to double check on my spares though...

No number, just patent number. Oops, found number on mounting flange surface, HF 1 1145. Looks like a date stamp. Patent Number is 1,536,043. Also, in bottom of float bowl is # 10-A-126, probably mold number and on underside of top cover, # 227-104. ID of venturi is 0.8125 / 13/16".

Hi 1955cj5,

On closer inspection, there is number stamped into the mounting flange, mounting surface.

It looks like it might be a date stamp, HF 1 1145, if that is any help. Also, the patent number is 1,536,043.

I have purchased Marvel Carberators from JR also and am very pleased with them. He also will take the time to visit about any model A issue. Nice guy.

I have one I don't use since the float once stuck and scared the bejeebers out of me. I recall they require a slightly different pipe fitting from gas line to carb than either the Zenith or the Tillotson. Yes? No?

Yes, there is a brass adapter. I had a slight leak there after installing. I reinstalled last night with a small amount of Hylomar on the threads. Hope to not see leaks when I start her up today.
