Gosh the things I find out from the Ford Barn! I'm webmanager for MAFCGB and when the new website www.mafcgb.org.uk went live in the summer I assumed that the forum which was part of the old website would just wither and expire in Novemeber when we didn't renew the domain fee for it. Seems like Les Nelson managed to post something a few days ago!

Could you get creative with the value, like how the "man" does with our financial stuff?
It starts at said value but due to transportation it depreciates from origin to dock 30%; then dock to dock depreciation of 60%: and finally dock to pick-up 30% so it is only worth 10% of initial price. There it is then duties and taxed, like how the China stuff magically appears at such bargain deals.

I managed to keep the camera warm enough to get a picture of the number stamp pad of the standard bore AF block. The stamp appears to be original. Rod

Hey Rod

As you say the stamp appears to be factory. Certainly the same as the AF blocks we have.

Any chance you can take some more pictures? From the top looking down the bores, and further down on the stamped side?

It's a curious one

Cheers

Juggs

Will see what I can do Monday, the engine is out at the farm (25 miles away) so not like I can slip iutside and post them right away. I had the chance to also share this photo with a person who has more research material availiabe than I do and this engine was produced at the Rouge in Febuary of 1930, and was for a RHD chassis, and almost certainly for export to South America. I have no idea how it ended up in Australia. Rod
