Default I couldn't wait...

After the new head, manifolds and good results, I decided to tighten the rod bearings now and not wait for winter.
Went ahead and tore the head back off and did lap the valves in.
The cylinders were kinda scored, so I got a hone and cleaned them up nice and put a new set of.040" rings on the old aluminum pistons. #3 had a piece missing in the rod half of the bearing and #4 was questionable. I found some nice used ones in the stockpile, swapped them and adjusted all the bearings in.
The best I can tell, this is a 8:1 compression head !
Got it all together Friday and have put 60-80 miles on it since. It runs very strong and sounds much better. It pulls most any hill around in high Ruxstell (3:1), even picks up speed on a couple now !!
Had some nice cool days, good for break in.

Most people try and collect a matched pair of the colored lens. They are originals. Not repos.
