Default Manners... A new rule... Q

RE: Ryan's new manners enforcement:

The below comment appears to insult the individuals who have built a car for "show points." (e.g., blue ribbon, fine point)

Would such a comment by a forum member get them banned?

Used to be said that you shouldn't get in a pissing match with some body that owns a newspaper and buys ink by the barrel. Need to update it to include guys that contract for band width by the kagillion bites (is that even a word?)

I corrected my dog once when I was feeding it baked chicken bits with my hand and she snapped at me, Hey!!! Don't bite the hand that is feeding you". After that someone got rich with my words, making it into a quotation. Same as with what happened with...."Shit Happens"........

This post by Ryan was 6 or 8 months ago. At the risk of getting banned from this board, it does sound like a somewhat insulting post to show car Fordbarner. I thought Ryan was trying to stop this kind of post. If Ryan did post it, I have a hard time understand why he would post a comment like this. I thought this board was primarily for help restoring model A's, as drivers, near fine point or fine point. I try to restore my model A's to near fine point status, even though there are a number of things that would not get full points - but I try. To each, his own, but I see no reason to dis show cars.

That is post #25, it's content is meanless without seeing it in context. It's called cherry picking.

I read the original thread earlier, and this sentence was taken out of context. Ryan closed the thread because it was turning in to a pissing match. That's why he stated what he did. Just showing a comparison on restorations or not restorations and arguing on the internet. I see nothing wrong with his comment. Your opinion may vary.

Taking 'stuff' out of context of a conversation/thread for your own intent/purpose is CS and BS ! Tooo much of that disease going around !!
You must walk with a bow legged gait , due to have 'nads' that large in the owners face. Good luck !!

Why do you think it was taken out of context ? It seems straight forward.
Let us ask Ryan if it is as it stands or taken out of context! Ryan...? Wayne

What's more pathetic is you pulled that up from May of last year. Are you 12 or an actual adult? Move along....
