Gav shut off
Someone on here just posted that they shut off the Gav to keep the gas from dripping when the motor is turned off. A Zenith should not drip and if turning off the Gav will stop it then something is wrong with the carb. What is it? Jack

Re: Gav shut off
Gav does not affect fuel dripping.
float level, float valve, bad gaskets, bad jets, are places to look. |

Go to ModelA.org. My answer is: the answer is there. Spend some time studying what Bert's have made available.

I agree, GAV should have no impact. I would, however, add a few things to your list. Everyone seems to assume float valve, but in my experience leaks are usually due to bad seals (little washers) under the jets, or a poorly fitting GAV Adjusting Needle Housing. If the GAV Adjusting Needle Housing fits right, you should be able to take the GAV needle out completely without it leaking. Ken
