Moonshine Festival
Traveled with the fellow Cigar City Flatheads to the Moonshine festival, for my first time attending. It was truly a AWSOME time, even when the generator bolt on Vic's truck broke, causing it to rest at the Don Garlits place for the weekend. It sound's crazy, but if his truck didn't break, we all wouldn't have been able to see Don Garlits latest project, he's building an old skool roadster, with an Ardun flathead and a quick-change rear. I know it's not the way Henry built it, but it was damn cool anyway. We all had the best time and I'd like to thank the new friends I made Kiwi and Rabbit for adding to the whole thing. Thank you guy's, your hospitality was a big part of my enjoying the weekend. Thanks to all my Cigar City buddy's for the comradery over the weekend.

Re: Moonshine Festival
Keith, glad you enjoyed the weekend. As usual, I had a blast. I never let a little Flathead malfunction spoil the fun it's all part of playin' with Flatheads.

Re: Moonshine Festival
Vic, those little 'diversions' are just part of the overall fun of owning and driving these flathead Fords. I personally would not want it any other way.
Hey, where was your Davey Crockett hat? I was going through some old MSF pictures and found one of you in your hat. That was probably taken several years ago. Good to hear everyone has arrived home safely. Now is probably a good time to start promoting the '15 Barners Bash to keep Lawson happy

Re: Moonshine Festival
John, Keith (far left in the front row of the group photo) has taken over the wearing of the Coonskin Cap, as he has one as well! I didn't realize just how popular they are... In order to keep Lawson entertained, I'm going to have to expand my Photo Bucket account... I'll start working on the particulars of the 2015 Florida "Barner's Bash" in a few weeks. I've already secured a tour of the shop that is building the '40 Ford Coup body, etc. for Denis Carpenter and Tom Roche has offered to host a BBQ again.

Went back Sunday, parked on the circle with the "shine cars" and was surprised with an award for longest distance traveled to the event. Don |

Don, that's excellent! It was good to meet you, sorry I didn't get a chance to ride in your '40, Hal was having too much fun riding with you.

Re: Moonshine Festival
Steve, I hope you and Marilyn enjoyed the Mountains, I guess you must be in Savannah by now. Have some Shrimp-N-Grits for me. See you soon.
