Eastwood makes a special paint for radiators in Satin and Gloss finish.
Is the Satin finish the proper one for a 1933 radiator?

Some say the Eastwood satin black is closer to flat than egg shell but I've not used it. I've read on the HAMB that folks have had trouble with the stuff when waiting too long between coats. I guess it can lift and wrinkle if you wait too long between coats. It is just an acrylic enamel. Most acrylics can take heat up to 250* without problems. A person can likely use about any thin satin black acrylic enamel an achieve the same results as the Eastwood stuff.

Ford likely used an asphalt or bitumen based paint that is a pre cursor to pyroxylin or nitrocellulose lacquer. Ford F-101 Japan black was likely thinned more to give a quick and fast dry coating but I don't know for sure what was used after the model A era. Suffice it to say that what ever stuff was used, it would be near impossible to find now days.
