Default Marvel Mystery Oil as gas additive

Do you recommend adding MMO to a tank of gas as a general lubrication? If you, how much to a full tank? How often? What are the benefits?

Most add 4 oz. to a tank full . Keeps valves clean and from sticking .

I use about a shotglass full every tank. I is supposed to help lubricate, but I don't see how, because it's in the fuel and ignited. But I have used it, and will continue to.

If you use the "Search" function on Ford Barn, there was just a long list of comments on this subject with several good suggestions.

There is so much information on this amazing site, whenever I have a question, I usually try the "search" feature first, the answer is usually there.

One time, on a tour a friend put MMO in his tank before the gasoline. It took us quite a while to get the engine restarted. Moral; add MMO after gas tank is full.

MMO or any (2) cycle motor oil:

1. Acts as an upper cylinder lubricant where most (4) cycle cylinder engine wear occurs; &,

2. Just like oiling tools, or pistols, rifles, & shotguns in humid climates to prevent rust, adding MMO or (2) cycle engine oil to a vintage vehicle gas tank can prevent steel tanks from rusting if used with just about every fill up.

Remember when precisely measuring liquids for you Model A, a Dallop is 0.333343 of a Gloop. And 1.657 Gloops makes a good size puddle under yer A. The exception to the rule is when O.0000002 Dallops gets on Momma's pretty dress or rug, then you get's a hurricane.
It is all the numbers

I do glug, glug, glug, glug. More won't hurt anything, and if you haven't been using it more is probably better for a few tankfulls. JMO Clem, you crack me up.

So if you are filling the tank when it's only at the half way mark, do you use one and a half glops?

Why it might work is because not all the fuel is burnt when the engine fires. Some of the un-burnt fuel is expelled and helps cool the exhaust valves and manifold. This is why running too lean can lead to warped exhaust manifolds and burnt valves and running too rich just wastes gas. Fact or fiction this is what I have been told.

It is not a glop. That was horses leave. It is a gloop. Measure gloops on the logrythemetic scale minus the cosine of Pi

Anybody recognize this little gem? Picked it up on 'the bay' & put new gaskets in it - haven't been able to find much info on it. Looks like a T or early A accessory.

MMO gives the gas a little more body...prevents vapor lock.

Dog here, Maybe the "PIG OIL" in it helps, or maybe it's pschosumatic?? Words like "Mystery"or "Slick"or "Wetter"or "Float" plays games with our "Thinking Cap"! Maybe a Glop and a half of BRILLIANTINE HAIR OIL would help, & Momma would LOVE the Kzhaust SMELL! Buster T.
