Default model A/B lifters

well I know the B cam is different in lift than the A, and the lifters are wider face. but are the bores the same? looking to put an aftermarket set of adjustable lifters in my B block just trying to make sure the bore is the same for A and B

Yes it is the same.

yes, they should be the same bore in the block.

I say should, 80+ years and who knows who worked on motor before.

Also be careful, adjustable lifters can come in different face diameters, some too small for the "B" cam.

Your best bet might be to measure the old ones before purchasing the new, if possible.

The lifter bores are something few rebuilders check. Badly worn ones can make a poor running engine.
There is a remedy.

As a side note, most modern regrind cams are designed to run on 1 inch diameter lifters so you need to determine this from the cam supplier. The double lock lifters are 1 inch.

X2 Need to ensure the bores have or have not been machined for oversize lifters.

I would use the model B lifters . The best that I recall the face of the B lifters , where they meet the lobe of the cam is larger than model A . The B lifters are a small amount longer but adjustable lifters could solve that problem but not face diameter .
