Default ford f1

did all standard ford f1's come with 16 inch wheels? Just starting the restoration on this. Thank you in advance. Mike

Yes, all 48-52 F-1s came stock with 16” x 4.5” wheels, Ford number 8C 1015 / K-H 31283. A 15” x 5.5” semi-drop center two piece 7RC 1015 is listed in the Service Manual, but after much research it wasn’t really offered and listed in the Chassis Catalog until 1953. And that was after two number changes. That wheel was again changed in 1954 to have less offset. Not until 1955 did the 15” x 5.00” one piece wheel become available. Stu
