Re: Replacement Switch for Heater on 1941 Ford
None of the switches on E-Bay are correct for a 41 Ford hot water heater. The correct switch has screw terminal, not slip on. I do have one for a hot air heater, which only has 1 speed.

TomO thanks for reply, I assume the switch can be used if I cannot find another and was willing to be satisfied with 1speed? John

John:
I have a used 1941 hot water heater switch here that would be correct for your heater. It has 4 screw on terminals. Call me at 818-421-0505 if you want more info.....40larry |

web site. I think it was one that make battery disconnect switches. I'll see if I can find it. Google "automotive heater switch" There are lots of them on there even auto zone has them. G.M.

Re: Replacement Switch for Heater on 1941 Ford
Most "heater switches" at auto part stores are 2 speed, one direction. '41-'48 switches are 2 speed forward (heat), off and 2 speeds reverse (defrost). I tore one apart that was no good and it was like a Chinese puzzle of contacts ,etc.
