Default windshield replacement - how to??

Hi all,

The bottom of my windshield frame was rotted and badly repaired. I've tracked down a replacement with safety glass installed.

What is the procedure for removing/replacing the windshield frame?

Thank you,
Carl

Disconnect the swing arms. Bring it up to full open. Prop it open. Lay on your back across the seats and look up at it. You'll note several screws that go up into the header. These wood screws hold the other side of the hinge on. Remove them but be careful. the windshield is fairly heavy and has been known to cause excruciating pain if it hits a body part. It's best to have help with this job.
