Default power brakes

I installed a speedway brake conversion and power booster to my 62, f100, with 292. Now I can't remove valve cover from driver side. What are my options now? Ditch power brake, or is there another solution? Yep, I know, I should have thought of that sooner. Bob

You're not the first one or the last one with that problem on many different vehicles. A picture would help, but sometimes a smaller diameter double diaphragm booster will provide enough assist and give some clearance. Put up some pictures with a tape measure along side, someone here will probably have the answer without starting all over.

I fitted a 7" dual diaphragm booster with a corvette master cylinder. I used a set of 57 Chev booster brackets which kicked the booster up at a bit of an angle which provides adequate clearance of the rocker covers.

The firewall brackets in this kit are the ones I used.

There are bracket kits available to raise the booster and master cylinder. Speedway Motors has several in the catalog.
