Default Model a ignition problem

After sitting for 4 years, I attempted to fire up my restored 30 model a pickup. It turns over and has spark at the points, but no spark going t,o the plugs, hense it will not fire. Any ideas? I also replaced the condenser thinking that might be the problem. The positive ground strap seems warm when cranking it over.

closing the points grounds the circuit back to the coil red wire.. when opening and closing the points the red wire at the coil should flash using a basic test light.. i would clean the points better to make sure they are giving you a full ground,,, they do get oxidized from sitting. then ck for spark directly from the coil wire to a head nut.. you can do this by opening and closing the points manually with key on... i would also clean the battery ground cable connections at both ends that are getting warm...

Ok, thanks, I'll give it a try. Could there be a short if I have spark at the points?

the points are supposed to spark when opening and closing //key on...as mentioned clean them first
ck for a blue spark at the coil wire holding it 1/4 from a head nut

I had a brand new distributor sitting in my motor for maybe 4 years before I tried starting it.
There was no spark at the plugs and when I tracked the current, it got as far as the points but only to one side when closed. A film of corrosion had built up on the points and when lightly sanded, the motor started immediately

Re-sanded the points and did the test with the coil wire. Fired right up! Thanks for the tips.
