Default Rodtiques 12v LED Headlights & Reflectors

On occasion I find myself driving my '31 Model A Coupe at night; I always feel less than comfortable with my stock lighting (especially since we have a lot of deer where I live). I tried the halogen bulbs, but found that while they are bright you can't get a decent focus. I'm now considering purchasing a pair of 12v LED reflectors and lights from Rodtiques. The Rodtiques LED lights claim to be brighter than Halogens, don't require focusing, and use 60% less current. Has anyone tried these lights, and if so, how did you they work for you? Thanks to all for any input you may have.

Looking at a headlight and seeing it looks brighter isn't the same as how far the light is projected down the road

I am still in the planning stage for my Model A but I intend to use a B-1125 "Brite" bulb from Ron Francis Wire Works,https://www.ronfrancis.com/searchprods.asp, reflectors from Bratton's and wiring from A&L. I did something similar on my '32 and am pleased with the results. I look forward to seeing comments about Rodtiques. I am unable to find the product in their on line catalog and am waiting for a call back from them.

Intersting. Chrome reflects less light than silver or aluminum so I assume they are using the extra brightness of the bulbs to make up for the loss in reflectivity. I look forward to seeing the real world results.

I purchased my LED bulbs from www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com. Have been satisfied with results. A 6v 5w filament bulb uses o.85 amps (nearly 1 amp). LED equivalent 6v 5w LED bulb uses 0.025 amps. So, you would need to light FORTY 5w LED bulbs to use the same current as ONE 5w filament bulb. Other than costs, bulbs are direct conversion. Just plug them in!

Very interested on how your Rodtiques LEDs work on the road. Please let everyone know when you get them. Keeping my fingers crossed. 😁 I'm only interested in the ones w/o turn signals since I already have signals.

Thanks Ken,

Have contacted the company, getting ready to order. Return email responses within a day, they are in England. They very helpful if you do not know bulbs/technical stuff, and figuring out what to order. Looking at Tail/stop lamps replacements only. Have always been uncomfortable with the output of the original incandescents, especially during the day. Doing only the stop/tail, hardly ever drive at night.

I'm very happy with my Bratton reflectors and 6v Halogen bulbs. Highlights are as bright as modern cars and sight distance is very good also. I could become interested in the LED's/reflectors from Rodtiques is they offer them in 6 volt.

I like the stock brattons reflectors with stock bulbs. They are bright as modern leds
