What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
I'm taking an older Vet for a ride Sunday morning, he hasn't been in a Non-plastic car since he left the farm.
I'll get the best of this as he'll be telling stories! Is there a regulation on flying the flag on Monday? Half staff or Full staff? I've been looking around for a Marine to ask....

Re: What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
I fount this on the web under flag rules and regulations.
The flag, when flown at half-staff, should be first hoisted to the peak for an instant and then lowered to the half-staff position. The flag should be again raised to the peak before it is lowered for the day. On Memorial Day the flag should be displayed at half-staff until noon only, then raised to the top of the staff. Re: What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
The A is in pieces stored away and I have to work, so other than the fact I will go to the cemetary in the am. it is the same as any other Monday. Hope I don't have to dodge too many drunks on my way to work in the afternoon. Rod

In the garage as Dad last drove it in 1983, maybe next year it will run again. I think of him every time I look at his Roadster and all his fellow WWII vets. Thank you all. Bob

Going to rain again. 12 of the last 15 days here where I am. At least the salt is all gone off the roads. We are enjoying our sunshine now in 5-10 minute bursts.Things are getting kinda musty.

Re: What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
My A will be sitting in the garage after my water pump quit and the new one arrived 2nd day air and already has a spun bearing. So instead of the show is was to be in for a friend that asked me to bring the car it will stay in the garage until I can call the supplier I got it from, (one of the more reputable suppliers), to get another one sent out.

Re: What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
Today the coupe chassis got a new parking place in my "garage of doom". Now I can just roll it in and out as needed instead of zig zaging it in sideways. Took me all day but worth the effort. Yeah, I know. I'm a slob. But I know where everything is....just finding it is my problem.

Us members of the Model A Club of Ft Myers Fl are proud of one of our members Jack Whelen which just returned from the WW2 Honor Flight to DC. He among other things was one of the first 13 to Enter Berlin when it was still burning, he is active in our club and drives his Model A Coupe at least once a week.

Re: What is your A doing for Memorial Day?
Mine is hooking onto our pig roaster for a Memorial weekend BBQ, and my 61st birthday. We will be flying a very large and old 'Old Glory', to honor my Father and father in law for their service to our country. They were a tough bunch. All my rowdy friends are coming over tonight......
