I've got a question for Merc guy's etc. My friend Mike just scored a '40 Merc Convertible Sedan. The car was customized in the '50's and up dated in the '70's. It is missing the OEM taillights and I'm trying to find a set. Do any of you know if they were/are re popped, or have an OEM set? Thanks.

Had another interesting find come my way but I've got too many projects so I'll post some info here. If anyone is interested PM me or send me an email at vicpiano@CigarCityConcours,com. The car is a '48 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet. It is located in Clearwater, FL. They are asking very reasonable money, it still has the V-12, etc.

Oh yeah, we're still playin' with Flatheads. We've gotten away from going to the Moonshine Festival, partly because my event, the Cigar City Concours d'Elegance takes place in early November and it's too close to the Moonshine Festival for me to get away.

Thought I'd drop in to say hi to some old friends and to give some information on a company I found that makes OEM convertible tops. They have the pattern for my '39 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Club Coupe so I ordered a top from them, should have it delivered in a couple of weeks. The company is ARO2000, the website is ARO2000.com. If you are in need of an OEM style convertible top for Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Lincoln Zephyr or Continental, they just might have what you need.

Hi Tony, hope all is well with you. Maybe you can get down to Tampa in November for the Cigar City Concours d'Elegance.

HI Vic! Glad to see you are still kickin' and smokin'! Hope you and Ms. Sherry have avoided the Covid - and all the other perils of the day!! Margretha and I HOPE to make it to the November show ...... But still the primary caregiver for my 92 year old mother, so everything is iffy. Wondering what became of Mr. Moose .....

Hi Marcus, good to hear from you. I'm still playin with Flatheads, just don't spend too much time on the FordBarn anymore as there are a lot of other Flathead Ford oriented sites on social media. I know what it's like to have to be a caregiver, my mom is 95 and in an assisted living facility due to the onset of dementia. As for Mr. Moose, I haven't seen or heard from him in a long while. I'd love to see you and Margretha in November at the Cigar City Concours d'Elegance. Please keep me posted. Best way to reach me is via email at: [email protected]. Best Regards, Vic

Well, I finally got around to getting a convertible top for the '39 Lincoln Zephyr Convertible Club Coupe. I trying to locate a source for the rubber bumpers that fit on the bottom of the top irons that fill the gap between the body and the top irons at the rear of the doors when the top is in the closed position. I have the OEM rubber but they are hard as a rock. If I can't fine a good set, I'll try to make a mold and see if I can make some new ones. these are unique to the Zephyr, the Ford & Mercury are different. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thought I'd drop in and say hi and a belated Happy New Year to everyone. Hope you are all doing well and still playin' with Flatheads. I've been doin' some horse tradin', let a few of my cars & trucks go and picked up a '40 Lincoln Zephyr Continental Cabriolet to play with. Also got two '52 Ford 8N Tractors. Still crazy after all these years.
