Default '39 Deluxe Windshield Regulator

Hi, guys,

I've been inspired by other posts on the Forum to get my windshield regulator working again. I've detached the brackets to the windshield, but how do I remove the regulator from its under-dash bracket. Does the vertical shaft that extends through the dash and to which the knob attaches come out? Don't want to break anything and know someone out there has done this before!!

Dick.

The dash has to be raised to clear the regulator - you will see there are 3 bolts holding the regulator to a bracket. Hardest part used to be getting the screws out of the windscreen rather than cutting the arms.
