Fill the cavity with grease. Use a shaft that is diameter of inside of bearing and whack it. Couple of applications of grease and it will pop out.

You can also use a tap and thread the bearing, then use a big socket with some washers and a bolt to pull it out.

That might work with a bushing, but would be a little bit difficult with a bearing! The grease method works or you can use a puller. There is a T shaped piece you can get behind the bearing and use a slide hammer. Auto supply store that loan tools should have a puller.

I take a bolt, the largest one I can put the head of- through the center. (OR grind bolt head to fit the hole). I use carraige bolts for this a lot.
Put apiece of something next to the bolt so it holds the bolt to one side.
Put a socket or pipe over (larger than the bearing)
Put washer or piece of steel with hole in it over that. Nut goes on the bolt, tighten to pull out bearing.

In the same vein, I have heard that peanut butter works just as well as grease, but is not as messy. I tried it once, and it didn't work for me. Maybe I should have tried the third leg of the triangle!

Tried grease and bread and didn't work. Borrowed a loaner tool and still won't budge. Any ideas? Thanks

I have always used a slid hammer, but never had a problem getting one out. So not much help here. Is it a bushing style or actual bearing style?

Cut the inner race with a dremel and small cut-off discs or a diamond bit. Then pull the retainer and balls out. Now you can run a weld bead inside the outer race, let it cool and it should shrink enough to pull out. Or split the outer race with the dremel... carefully!
