Default Sport coupe values

Hi, everyone, I am trying to talk a friend of mine into selling me his 1929 sport coupe. It is in fair condition, meaning it runs and drives and is complete, but needs work done to everything-steering, brakes, suspension, etc. What is a reasonable value range I should pay for this car? Thanks!

$6500-$22,000. That's about as close as I can get without some photos and much, much more information.

This was taken several years ago, it's a little worse for wear now but not too much.

Does it have a hood? DO you know anything about the engine? (rebuilt, or just a tired engine)

If the paint and top match the interior yea close to 10 I would say.

When you live in the rust belt, nicer cars are always more expensive, I could find a nicer one out west for the same price, but this car has sentimental value to me because my Grandfather rode in it for his 90th birthday 13 years ago as a birthday present I arranged for him.
