Default stromberg 97 setup

Does anyone know what size jets and power valve I should be running on a dual carb set up. There going on a 59ab with a 4" crank and isky max 1 cam. They will be installed on a thickstun pm7 high rise manifold.

If you drive in an area under 5,000 feet elevation, you should probably start with the stock .045 jets and 65 power valve. Drive it a while and check the color of the plugs. Browish is good. Blackish may be running a bit rich and you might try the .043 jets. Dusty white might indicate a bit too lean, and go up a jet size.

I have dual 97s and had used 43 main and 65 pvs at 600 ft above sea level. Ran lean. Went to 45 mains and 71 pvs and runs very well. Use 45 mains and 65 pvs and engine would bog - to much gas. You might want to consider model 48 strombergs.

I am running the exact same in my 59a with slingshot intake in Michigan sea level and it runs real well. My friend with an H&H flathead was running the same here in Michigan and it worked well for him too.

Good luck!
Matt

Michigan is not at Sea Level, it is around 600ft in Dearborn. If it was near SL the water in the great lakes would not flow to the sea.
