Metal trunk floor paint
I bought a repro panel to replace a rusted trunk for panel for my 24 coupe. I am not going to restore the car, just clean it up and get it reliable and safe. I have primed the new piece and was wondering what kind of black the finish coat should be? Given where it is, it probably doesn't matter much, but I would like it to be some like what was original. Should I paint it a gloss or satin or what? Any brand people people prefer over another?
Given what I have read elsewhere, I guess I could even brush paint it! Thanks! Last edited by mhsprecher; 08-24-2019 at 08:05 PM. |

Re: Metal trunk floor paint
Do it like Ford did - put couple coats of cheap black paint on it and then install it.
