Default 1931 Running Board trim?

I have a 1931 slant window 160B. It was built in May of 31 as far as I can figure. I am replacing the running boards and I have found conflicting information as the the finish of the outer trim. Is it Zinc or Stainless. Also do you bend the vertical section of the trim so it wraps around to the side just slightly or just cut it straight down? A photo would be great. Thanks.

The trim is zinc and if you are talking about the outside trim piece then more than likely you bend it down so it holds the rubber mat down-like a crimp. At least that is what I did on my 30. I bought some new original zinc trim for when I restore her. For now I just kept what dad used which I think was stainless.

Not sure exactly about the question...
31 had only outside edge trim that was zinc and the other edges were moulded rubber that mated directly
to the fenders and splash apron.
The expensive boards (rootlieb) have inside rubber edges. I’ve seen the others that have glued on half round on those edges.
If you’re using something else I’d suppose make it look to your satisfaction??
