Default 30 roadster folding top itons

I would like to rechrome the lower section arm that was originally chrome plated. Then powder coat the remaining part of the folding top assy. Can this be done without taking the assy apart? Not looking for a show car result. Just looking for a very good result.

if the top irons are not pitted and if you can find a plater that will do the job. the powder coating is no big deal.
