Got a new puter and can't get spell check to correct misspelled words. Ideas?

I want spell check to highlight incorrect words but NOT correct them. That is dangerous.

Well... sometimes. Occasionally I have a hard time figuring out what a person is asking with misspelled words and no punctuation/capitalization. May be just me tho.

Far easier for you to just google it. Go to google and type in. How to turn spellcheck on and off.

Maybe the OP is asking about spell check on this forum. Spellcheck works in some applications on this computer but not in FB. Is there some way to turn it on for FB only, Ryan?

Hmmm, seems to work on Ford Barn on my Mac. Either tells me if the word is spelled incorrect by underlining in red, changing it to correct spelling or changes it to a word other than the one I wanted. Very frustrating.

As far as I know, the web browser is what does all the spell checking. I looked on facebook and couldn't find any option but did find where it was in the my browsers settings (I use Brave since it automatically blocks ad trackers...).

Really not sure why spell check would only work on some sites and not others. I would google how to turn it on or off for your specific browser.

And yeah, I immediately turn off auto correct on anything I type on. One of the worst things the tech companies came up with I think.
