Default Club Recommendation

I am a Model A and Early V8 owner and I am looking to join a T National Club to learn more about the T. I know asking this question in the A forum starts a firestorm of comments - but what I am looking for is a simple recommendation on which club to join (MTFCA or Intl or Other). A good magazine is probably high on the list. MTFCA does have a closer local chapter.

Your thoughts?

Thanks
Matt

My first suggestions is to log on and explore both web sites. They both have their good points. The MTFCA is more directed at touring and driving, the International club has judging. Our club no longer is directly connected to ether club so we don't have a requirement to be a member on one of the national clubs. If I had to pick one, it would be the MTFCA.
You do not have to be a member of the clubs to use the web sites. I would suggest exploring the web sites first to get your feet wet. You may learn more on them about the T's then joining a club at this point from my experience as a club member. Depending on how your local club is set up, the meetings may be more business and fellowship directed more then talking about T's. Go to a meeting, guest are encouraged.

I'm no expert, but I think MTFCA is good and our local club is a chapter.

Thanks - Both good suggestions and confirmed that MTFCA is a good club to join.

In my opinion, the MTFCA has the best magazine and for sure, the best Web site. However, the club that is nearest you (MTFCA or MTFCI) would like the best one for convenience and camaraderie.

I agree that both have their advantages, and that's why lots of folks are in both. For Model T info, in addition to the MTFCA and MTFCI sites you can find some on my website and a couple of others.
