Default Dash clock, '55 Victoria

Sorry, but we haven't had this Victoria very long and I keep coming up with questions. Anyway, the clock in the dash looks good and when winding it up it sounds good. However, it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Does it need cleaning, and if so, who does that? Thanks again.

I had clocks in my 54 Victoria and 56 Bird converted to a quartz movement by Williamson's in Arkansas. The 54 was 20 years ago and keeps great time, the 56 was done about 5 years later and same result.

Thanks Paul. Do you have contact information on them? I may want to do the same thing.

I also had my '55 Ford dash clock repaired by Williamsons along with some other dash instruments. My clock was an electric type, not the manually wound type, but I am sure they can do both.
They do good work if you are willing to spend the cash.
In the past I have also used Instrument Services Inc. for a '55 Ford clock quartz conversion. It didn't last long, but from what I have heard, the voltage reducer/polarity inverter probably failed (junk made in China). So I cannot necessarily fault ISA's workmanship, but I don't like their return policy. They wanted to charge another $110.00 to repair it.
Williamsons has lifetime guarantee.
