Default Portland Swap meets now over. whew!!

Portland, Oregon April dual Giant swaps are over and of the combined 5 days, Friday was great weather.. The rest tested your structures like last yr. I've moved inside forever! The high light for me was to discover a fellow RG#9 member had TWO full sets of '39 Marmon-Harrington 4wd 1/2 ton Wheels!! Yes, wide 5 snap ring wheels for the Military 4x4 woody wagons. Some Ausssies bought both sets for $125 USD per Wheel. Most of those '39s were RHD Canadian built. This 'Buddy' had these secretly stashed them for Years!! Then my stall partner sold a nice '36 Pickup radiator for $100. argh!! I consentrated on bringing the 'Profit' home. Coffee $2.50 Sausage dogs $8 and fancy burgers $14, water free at the fountains. See you there next yr for more 'punishment' Newc

I went back a few hours after first seeing those lock ring wide 5s and they were gone. I wanted to get a picture for Truckdog JIC he knew someone looking for them. Yes, it's a great show. I looked for you and your stall, but couldn't figure out where you were and I couldn't remember who to ask for.

Hi all; I believe that I have seen photos of British WW2 woody wagons 4X4's with those 'sand' tires on them in Egypt. Mfg'd in Canada. Newc
