Default 1950 Meteor power brakes

As I am putting an electric fuel pump in would it be possible to use the mechanical pump and a vacuum canister to work the booster?

Originally it probably had a dual pump-- vacuum and fuel , if you have the original pump the vacuum section could be used without using the fuel section, the fuel pump alone won't make enough vacuum

As stated probably not enough vacuum. When I installed my booster I drilled and tapped a pipe thread ( any convenient location ) directly into the intake manifold.

Are you running a flathead V8? I was told it won't produce enough vacuum to operate the booster

Yes, a bone stock 100k+ mile flathead using a single 7" booster.
