what is considered big bore?
59a block back from machine shop bored .080 over. which head gaskets to use, standard or big bore?

I think you are right at the limit for std bore gasket. I would go big bore.

All gaskets are not the same, even the same brand with the same part number on them.
Get a couple samples of std. and big bore and check them on the cylinder bank you intend to use it on. Check where the fire ring sits on both the block and the head. If it is not clamped between the head and block when installed, it will fail. There should be NO hangover at any point. |
