31 Sport Coupe, woodgrain or no?
I get a dime store paperback of unrelated info when I search here. Since I can't immediately find my Model A book I thought I'd ask here.
31 Spt Cpe, deluxe. Woodgrain or not? I'm of the mind that the standard spt cpe was painted and the dlx is 'grained but I like to raise a right hand on things before I jump in. Anyone have a sure thing answer? Thanks in advance, and yes if grained I know it'll be, in Ford speak, "Fine Grain Mahogany" or was that Fine Colonial Grain Mahogany, might be mixing terminology. I'm over 60 so hiccups in actual words are forgiven. Or so I'm told... |

The paint and finish guide does not show any woodgrain for Sport Coupes.

Re: 31 Sport Coupe, woodgrain or no?
A '30-31 Sport Coupe was body style 50-B.
A '30-31 Standard Coupe was a 45-B. The Standard Coupe could also have been a Coupe, Deluxe or a 45-B, Dlx. The interior trim mouldings (dash rail, pillars, window trim, etc.) was Mahogany Woodgrain on the 45-B, Dlx. There was no such model as "Sport Coupe, Deluxe", or 50-B, Dlx. Just the 50-B. So no woodgrain on it. Trim was painted Maroon. Hope this helps.
