The donut shape grommet fits on the firewall. The leather cupped grommet goes on the engine side of the firewall, with the smooth side toward the firewall followed by the metal cup washer then the spring.

A little grease on the leather will stop it from squeaking. 8^)

And if it dies while stoping you would know it died! :-)
I thought mine died once, but it was still running nice and slow!

You know Bill too many think these are today's cars with all of the same modern refinements. These cars leaked, these cars were noisy, these cars were hot or cold depending on the season and finally these cars are almost a hundred years old. For me all of these quirks are what make these cars so much fun.

Yes Durant is a town in Oklahoma.

Very true, Tin Cup,
BUT, working at the Dealers, Volvos would MYSTERIOULSY leak water around the windshield & CORRODE the Bosch fuses & the fuse block & cause OPENS & FEEDBACKS & ALL kinds of goings-on! Sometimes the bows would RUST & stain the HEADLINER, even!
So called "modern" cars have STRANGE problems. Sometimes I've corrected STRANGE problems, to prevent a Factory BUY-BACK! I TOLE you I wuz GOOD!! (I don't know the wurd, HUMBLE) I'll have to look it up, in the BIG Dictionary, I can't reach it frum here--LOL)

That is a very true statement and can be said of many things. I have been a phone collector for years and it is amazing. People who have never used a wood wall phone, or even a candlestick phone from the 1920's think there is something very wrong with them because they sound very hollow, tinny and sometimes the volume is not so great. They want to take out the guts and put new phone parts in them. What they don't understand is that the technology of the 1920's was blossoming and is very much the basis of what we enjoy today, but there have been many refinements between then and now. In the phone business, if you want to experience a 1920's candlestick phone, you really need to experience it for what it really is. I am finding out that the same can be said of cars. Mine really has a lot of noise because all the soft stuff has been stripped out of the insides and so there is a lot of noise.

Just to keep this on the topic that it is, I have so much other noise going on that I would not know if my choke rod was vibrating.

The advantages of using tapatalk is learning applications of model As and flatheads for me. But they cover many other areas for many many hobbies also. Not just car stuff

I've never used tapatalk.
I don't understand it, or know what benefit it would be for me.
I don't like downloading app's, as the majority of them that are on my Ipad, were a one time use only. (Put on by my Kids)
So, how does tapatalk work? Coming from a guy who does "think-n-type".
Jeff

I know nothing about tapatalk, and just assumed it had something to do with texting. I just got my first cell phone, and I don't text.
