Smile Brake drums

Can someone tell me the correct inside diameter of brake drums on 42-48 Fords and what is the safe amount that can be removed. Wish all a very HAPPY and Healty 2012. Thanks

48,
12 inches in diameter, the service manual says plus .060 is the safe oversize.
Don't be surprised to find lots of old Fords running plus .080 -.090.

Drums anything over 12 inches & you will need to re-arc your shoes to get a good pedal & good brakes !!!
Cheers
