Default 35pu

Hay fellas this is my first early ford I installed a39 convertible colum box complete an mounting plate colum is to long for truck how much do you cut off thanks fellas

As a junior member, you are obviously unaware that you don't need to keep posting the same question every 5 minutes!! Someone will give you a more appropriate reply shortly....be patient! As far as i'm aware, all the 35-39 steering columns are the same length. Possibly the location of the drop varies from year to year. Probably pay you to find a 35 pu column.

green book shows a different length for the rod itself, 39 longer.but the real question would be does the 39 mounting plate locate the whole box lower, so 39 length should be left as is, or shorten the rod to 35 length to match the pickup cab. anyone done it?
