Default Pics of the brown vs green chicle/copra tints

Here are two....I borrowed the brown/dark tint coupe pic from Marco's barnyard corral (hope he doesnt mind) and the lighter is my 30 coupe (which is also the same color tint as my 30 tudor).

As I said earlier; I have never seen the dark/brown tink in person but LOTS of the green shade.

I wonder if the original lacquer oxidized to the green tint and that is how this color scheme got started in the 50's?

I have heard that Copra and Chicle Drab are more brown than green. However my restored 1930 Sport Coupe looks more like the second picture than the first. I favor the green tint and have never seen a car in the brown shade.
