Default 30 CC Pickup radiator shell

Have Stainless shell on truck. Purchased Black shell it is 4in thick old one is only 3 1/2 is this AA? or will it work. Also stainless shell on truck appears to be about 1/2 inch to high for proper hood alignment. have no room to lower it as it is about touching radiator. and radiator appears to be right on frame.. Thanks

Your Right thats a AA shell that you have , The 28-29 front crossmember is a 1/2 " higher where the rad fits on than the 30-31 crossmember maybe you have one of those .If so You might have to use a lot of spacers to get everything to line up.

Thanks for the reply, but spacers won't help need radiator lower to get right hood angle, if I lift the rear it would set off cowl!

It sounds like the body needs to be shimmed up.Most likely caused by a frame sag in the vicinity of the motor mounts. If you're looking for a pickup shell the easiest way to tell if it is a pickup or AA shell is the horizontal edge at the top of the radiator opening. The pickup shell will have the point hanging down in the middle, under the Ford emblem, just like on your stainless shell. The AA will be straight across,no point.
