Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
Go to Lebaron Bonney and look in their catalog. They have a lot more than just interiors. I got some seat wood for my 36 3w. Whatever you do don't go to Ford 'woodart', they say they make all the wood, but I placed an order with them a year and a half ago and only got 2 pieces and they don't answere the phone.

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
Thanks. Have already checked both companies and they do not do 1936 3 window roof wood. Many thanks though.

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
I have the 3-pieces of roof wood which I can give you the dimensions for, so you can make them. Mine were in excellent condition.
I've also made a fixture for making the metal clips that go over them. I don't know of any company reproducing either the wood or the clips. |

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
Hi TagMan, thank you very much for the offer. About 5 years ago I took drawings off some brand new reproduction bows for a three window so do have those patterns, I should have asked who that guy go them off and now am unable to track him down. Would prefer to just buy a new set than make some. The ones I took the patterns off were really quality reproductions. Thanks for your reply though.

'35-'36 three window top wood kit: Call Ricky Hite at Classic Wood Products in Greensboro, NC (336-691-1344) for a copy of their product list. This kit is V-1422, $150. They make wood for T, A, V8, Chebby, and MG.

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
I got some '35-'36 3W bows from fordwood.com. Took a couple weeks to get and they fit and worked; but don't ask me about fordwood and '33 Tudor wood.

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
I called Brads-no answer. I spoke with Ricky@Classic and fordwood. They could only offer that they had the product in stock. From what I understand, the wood "kit" is basically the roof wood bows. How does the wood attach? - To the clamps pictured ?
Then I would have to have it upholstered, or buy another kit from Labaron ? Last edited by elturo; 11-21-2017 at 01:27 PM. |

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
The kit has three roof bows and a dome light mount. Once the bows are in place; chicken wire is attached followed by padding, top material, and the retainer strip.

Re: 1936 Ford Roof Wood
There are tubular anchor nuts hanging down from the sides of the top opening,
the roof bows have an enlongated slot that fits over these, there are formed tin washers that used on the securing bolts. |
