Default Gauge repair

I've used Baxter Ford in the past but they don't do gauge repair any longer. Who are you guys using?

Thanks,

BobWells Novelty Shop has done a great job for me on 30's and 40's gauges.

Williamson's Instruments, Inc.

I've never used them but they quoted a fair price on repairing the water temp gauge in my '39 p/u with a cut off capillary tube. I've also heard good things about them either here on the Barn or over on the HAMB or both. Might be worth checking them out.

I used Williamson's for a quartz conversion on two clocks and they did a super job. And the prices were better compared to others I looked at

I used Bob's Speedometer Service in Howell Mi - Does nice work, most of the ones you see for sale need rebuilding -he will completely rebuild/rechrome etc. and warranties his work, I would use him again. Depending on what you want done will determine final cost.

Heard,
I was contemplating a rebuild on my 52 F1 speedo and got shortness of breath at the quotes. Found a used one on E-bay for $20, also found the amp-fuel-temp-gas gauge cluster for another $20. Bought both, speedo works great. Chap

"Chap52" - Even if he "O/P" doesn't find anything, I think that's a pretty good link. Thank you.

Curious, What all gauge repair do you do? Do you recalibrate tachometers? Bill

Thanks for all the replies you guys.

Yes, I'm aware of the ebay listings and watch those but most of the time the description says 'untested'. I already have one of those....

I did, however, buy a NOS '36 fuel gauge on ebay that works fine. I WISH I had paid $20 for it.
