Need help picking correct walker radiator
I知 looking to purchase a walker radiator for my 1932 ford roadster . I will be running the new radiator with a pair of upgraded water pumps done by Skip Haney@ fordcollector.com to try and help keep the car running cool year round. It will be cooling the original v8 with the addition of a McCulloch supercharger ,aluminum heads , cam , headers . There was a number of radiators offered for 1932 ford flathead by Walker, so I wasn稚 sure which best fit my application . Look forward to some insight . Thanks!

Re: Need help picking correct walker radiator
I think there are soooo many listings for the 32 because a variety of engines can be found in those cars. You will want the highest capacity FLATHEAD radiator available from Walker. Just call and ask them. When I bought my Walker for Flathead use the "Z" core was the better unit and I chose to get the a/c inclusion.

If you have the space, also get a shroud. I use a 10 lb. cap too.
IDEA: If space permits, ask Walker to install the petcock on the bottom of the lower tank so you can fully drain the radiator. It would be easy to do. |

make sure you get the correct diameter upper hose to match your outlets of the aluminum heads. usually just early vs late.

FWIW, The Walker upper hose necks are not in the same position as stock 32 necks.
You're running an ORIGINAL 32 motor? Is that right? |

neither are the support rods for that matter. I swapped an original for a walker this spring and had to lengthen the rods |

Re: Need help picking correct walker radiator
I just had a radiator custom built for another project car by Custom Auto Radiator. Worth taking a look, they do nice work.

Since you're in SoCal you might check with Lee at Brass Works in Paso Robles. He knows radiators and he'll discuss all the options with you. When its done its nice drive up the 101 to pick it up. JMO.

Ah damn, did not realize the upper hose necks were in a different position than the original. Yeah I知 running the original motor. I will be installing vintage Eddie Meyer heads but I知 pretty sure the water pumps will be mounted in same location as on the stock heads .
