Here the names of our cars that where named:
'95 Ford Taurus: "The Jolly Green Giant" (it was light metallic green) '90 Ford Taurus: "Frankestein" (it had a silver South Florida faded paint, and received lots of parts to have it running from the junkyard, and from the Jolly Green Giant) '97 Cavalier: "Purple Thing" (yes, it was purple and I love driving that stick shift car) '02 Ford Taurus: "The Deal" (it was a smoking deal as a car belonging to the Company's sales fleet) '02 PT Cruiser "The Hearse" (my mother-in-law named my wife's car as it in her eyes it looked like one!) '05 Chrysler Pacifica "The Harpooned Whale" (in reverse, it made that noise that no one could fix that resembled such unhappy event for a whale) '09 Dodge "POS" (not for Point Of Sale, but for its unique quality to fall apart) '07 Mercedes C230 "Super POS", "&&@$/)!!?? Car", "Carrie" (for the possed car movie), "Money Pit", "Good for Nothing" (we never had a such a poor quality and expensive to fix car that has only 58k) '11 Buick Enclave: "The Beast" (it is big...at least for us) '46 Ford 5w Coupe: "Stanley" (my wife and kids named him after the founder of Radiator Springs in the movie Cars. Note that Stanley is a bronze statue. They say that my car will end up like that in the garage since it does not move, and it came to our garage to die)

Big Olds
Shortened from Project Big Olds which the readers of Rodders Digest named him many years ago. ![]() Cookie Pusher Not only do I usually have home baked cookies in the wagon to "push" to my friends, my wagon has been used by the Scorpion race team out of Texas as a push vehicle at the Hot rod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY. This photo is actually from the "Ohio Mile" land speed racing event where the Cookie Pusher was used as a tow vehicle for Mike Warren's '33. ![]()

I've waffled back and forth between Desi and Sandy, for her color Desert Sand. Dumb, I know.
I like Ol' Smoky! She needs braces, though.

Our '46 Ford pick up came to us with the name of "Maggie". The name stuck. Our 1914 Stanley we call "Little Blue".

When I first saw the picture of you car here on the barn I thought man I have seen that car before and went through all of my car show pictures until I found it. I tried to post them but it wont let me. Ill try again later.

20th try at posting these pictures of Elinor and The Big Olds side by side at the 2011 Tawas Michigan Summer fest. It started off a cold rainy day then the sun broke out and dried everything up and it ended up a beautiful day. I must say The Big Olds was a very sweet looking car.

I posted my '34 pickups in the 33-34 pickup thread. The tan one is Ernie. When I bought it in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley the owner told me "By the way the trucks' name is Ernie." It has stuck. The black pickup is Asa, named for a self-reliant Connecticut Yankee farmer (relative).
