40 Y brace
Ok guys, now I cant remember the correct orientation of the bolt ,spring, washer and nut that holds the Y brace to the front crossmember. I thought I remembered the bolt dropping down from the top and the spring , washer and nut on the bottom but I started second guessing myself.

Many guys install this just as you were thinking of doing. It is easier to that way when the car is assembled. However, that brace was installed before the body drop and as such, it was easier to install the way I'd mentioned in that scenario.
