Default 53 ford

I have a ford 302 motor in a1953 ford car. what heat sending unit will fit in a stock 1976 302 motor , that will work with the original gauge in the dash. thanks

Why couldn't you use the original sender and then find a bushing to reduce the pipe thread or vise versa into the manifold?

Your '53 temp gauge should read right with the '76 sender if you convert your '53 gauge cluster to 12V by using the Ford CVR from the back of a 60's or 70's gauge cluster. ..B.
