It's looking good. The square cut ends on the spring leaves means it's an aftermarket spring, but that only matters for points in judging. Just make sure the outside edges are beveled on the top leaf, so they fit in the curve of the front crossmember.

Also, make sure the frame doesn't have a sag by the rear motor mounts. Now is a good time to check it, and easy to fix if it sags. Just pull a string tight along the top of the frame on each side. There should be no air gap near where the rear motor mounts are mounted to the frame.

I found the greatest challenge was to keep track of all the parts in various stages of restoration. Zip lock baggies and label everything! Really exciting when big stuff starts to go together, isn't it?

Way to go! You are doing what I wanted to do at your age. I had no help or money though.

Hey Mike! Looks like a great job you're doing. I too, had parts, like a set of front spring shackles that grew feet and walked away. You're always welcome to visit here if you find yourself in the Danvers area. Jeff/Illinois gave sound advice! Best regards, Pete.

Hang onto that car thru your college years don't let it go. I've heard so many stories over the years about guys that sold their collector cars at that stage in life to gather together some cash, it would fill a big book.

They still make money. They don't make Model A Fords anymore. The money will work itself out just 'forget' you've got an antique car in the garage. Let it sit for a while if you have to, but don't give in to the 'urge' to sell you will regret it later. And when you finish college and start working you'll be glad you still have the 'A'.

I know i will never sell my tudor no matter what!
