Odd Crankshaft Pulley
So I did exactly what your not supposed to do and tried turn the motor with the belt. A few days later I received my new crank pulley but the collars were different. Not a big deal I machined it to mach but why are they different? The 2 tangs are opposite of the pulleys I see available from suppliers. Mine I would call a "male" and the suppliers a "female".

Re: Odd Crankshaft Pulley
There are many different aftermarket crank pulleys made--- the model A was a big market for "improved",and cheaper parts, the originals are all one piece, the 2 piece ones are for quick fix

Re: Odd Crankshaft Pulley
The die cast one that broke is the cheapest one, some had die cast sleeve too, they wore out quickly, I have one of those pulleys on my smiths compressor-- it broke, I got a replacement the same from 1$ pile

Re: Odd Crankshaft Pulley
There's a 2 piece pulley, that screws together with a L/H thread & looks stock. I've used them.
Just slide out the old pulley, cut it off with a Saws-All, pop on the new pulley & you're DONE! Bill Simple
