How many leaves, front spring, '31 CCPU?
Our '31 CCPU has 12 leaves in the front spring, looks like it's made that way, not cobbled up. Is this correct? U bolts and bottom plate also look correct. All I've read about front springs say 10 leaves. This vehicle is a Heinz 57 model.

I would change it out to the standard 10 leaf for a softer ride. Also be sure the leaves are well greased and beveled on the bottom of the ends.

Also, what I did was lube each leaf with Moly grease on the underside while "stacking" the leaves for final assembly and paint. Wipe off all excess grease from the assembled spring before painting with a DAMP cloth that has Mineral Spirits in it. We're havin FUN!! Larry
