Rehabbing a 6V generator
Recently rehabbed a 6V generator. Checked the armature on the growler, cleaned up the commutator, and recut the segments. Tested the field coils.
Replaced the front bearing, #1203. A lot of satisfaction rebuilding a quality product made in USA by Ford over 70 years ago. I wrote this process up with photos if anyone is interested, PM me your email address and I will send you a copy. Payback for all the great help and advice I get here on the barn. |
