‘36 wood grain company - original stamp

Today while replacing the window fuzzies on my ‘36 5W, I found this. Anyone ever heard of this company or seen this stamp?

Any info on the company? I’m guessing Ford had multiple suppliers for the components (moldings, dashes); but based on this stamp it makes me think the components were likely manufactured by supplier “A”, then shipped to supplier “B” for finish. I’m guessing there were multiple finish suppliers as well. In this case supplier “B” would be Oxford Var Corporation. Pretty neat to find little unexpected remnants of history.

I have a NOS 33 molding where that is quite visible. I think it is possible that the Oxford Varnish Corp had a patent on the graining process but Ford employees used the process and had to pay a royalty.

Ya know, you bring back a faint memory and I think you are 100% correct. It seems to me there was some kind of patent infringement by Ford. Hey Rehor, can you add anything to this???

If you google Oxford Varnish Corp; a bunch of lawsuit stuff pops up. Lot of description of the processes. One has link a to one of the patents in issue. That patent has another link to some drawings; but it doesn't look like it is for garnish moldings.

That process was used on caskets, furniture and all kinds of things.
