37 21 stud - front pulley/crank bolt size
Hi fellas, what size is the front crank pulley bolt on one of these? This is the bolt with the "twisted" snout on the front.
I thought it was 1 1/8" but same socket wont go over it ! Thanks ! |

Mine is 1-1/8.
There must be some others out there. If the ears of the crank dog are chewed up (splayed out to be more precise) then the socket may not go over. Mart. |

Hey Mart my "ears" seem to be ok.
Are there different bolt sizes? |

Re: 37 21 stud - front pulley/crank bolt size
The change in hex from 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 (not sure of real spec on that...they seem to vary, and are not a very good fit at 1 3/8) came with the change from short crank (all 21 stud, 1938 24 stud) to long crank (1939-48).
