Photo on MAFCA home page
Just wondering....what do you think they used to make the tires shiny on the delivery in the picture at the bottom of the MAFCA web page? It looks to be from the day. I have seen other pictures of cars in showrooms and they also had stuff on the tires. I know it’s not Armor All. : ) Marc

I'll give you guess, ...it probably was Glycerin which was easily available back then.

We used brake fluid to black tires in the early 1950s.that was part of the detailing of used cars at the local Ford dealer where I worked.
