Red face 1941 Ford truck glove box springs

My glove box lid flops open, it appears there were some kind of torsion springs on the side that kept it shut. Where can they be purchased? Can they be fabricated?

I got mine from Bob Drake. It snap fits at the bottom of the lid and the opening. It is a small semi-circular, thin leaf spring that goes under tension when the door is lowered. 48-701679. Of course, it's out of stock.

Call around to other V-8 parts vendors as they may have them in stock.
